Equipment

  • Espresso Machine

Ingredients

For 1 tall glass

  • 180-240 ml cold coffee or cold brew
  • ice cubes
  • 1-2 scoop vanilla or caramel ice cream

Optional toppings

  • whipped cream
  • chocolate, caramel, or coffee sauce for drizzling
  • a sprinkle cocoa powder or shaved chocolate

Instructions

  • Make an espresso or a cold brew, and make sure it's properly cold.
  • Choose a tall glass so there’s room for both coffee and ice cream. Add ice cubes to the glass if you like your floats extra cold. Scoop 1–2 generous scoops of vanilla or caramel ice cream and keep them ready in the freezer so they’re nice and firm when they hit the coffee.
  • Pour the cold coffee or cold brew into the tall glass, leaving enough room at the top for the ice cream and any toppings. Gently place the scoop (or scoops) of ice cream on top so they float above the coffee.
