Equipment

  • Espresso Machine

Ingredients

For 1 tall glass

  • 120-150 ml strong brewed coffee
  • 60-120 ml cold water or milk
  • ice cubes

Light sweetness options

  • 1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup or
  • a few drops your favorite sugar-free sweetener

Optional extras

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 small pinch cinnamon

Instructions

  • Start with coffee that’s slightly stronger than your usual morning brew. Pour the hot coffee into a heat-safe glass or small jug and let it cool to room temperature.
  • While the coffee is still a little warm, stir in your chosen sweetener so it dissolves easily. Add a small amount of honey, maple syrup, or sugar-free sweetener and mix well, then taste with a spoon.
  • Fill a tall glass all the way to the top with ice cubes. Pour the sweetened coffee over the ice, then top up with cold water, milk, or a mixture of both.
